Product overview

The WPF-4XS represents a new generation of the four-channel independent milling and scouring platform. Engineered with channel-by-channel control, the machine consolidates precision milling, scouring, and high-speed scouring (light milling) into a single integrated platform. Stainless-steel separators isolate each of the four channels — four fabrics differing in colour and weight can be processed simultaneously, free of entanglement.

Engineered for the multi-product mill: light worsted and heavy carded fabrics processed in parallel on the same machine.

Two configurations

WPF-4XS-R Rubber Roller Configuration — the general-purpose model, covering the full process spectrum from worsted to medium-weight carded fabrics
WPF-4XS-W Solid Wood Roller Configuration — engineered specifically for heavy carded fabrics, delivering a superior milling pressure profile

Applications

Note on configuration differences: the wood roller configuration is engineered for heavy carded fabrics — the lower fabric speed matches the torque and compression dwell required for heavyweight constructions; the wider fabric-slot range (up to 220 mm) accommodates their greater volumetric profile. All other parameters are identical between the two configurations.

Optional features

  • 12-segment grooved milling rollers
  • Steam proportional valve with indirect heating — direct heating standard; indirect heating delivers more uniform temperature, lower noise and vibration, and faster heat-up
  • Speed-detection system with single-channel auto-stop — individual milling-rate targets per channel; channels reaching their target stop automatically while the others continue

Common problems in wet finishing

Real questions from the mill floor — and how we answer them.

Different colours and weights have to run in separate batches — how do I stop that slowing my output?

The four channels are separated by stainless-steel plates and each holds its own settings, so four fabrics differing in colour and weight run at the same time without entanglement or cross-shading — no waiting for one shared recipe.

Do scouring and milling really need separate machines, or is one enough?

One machine covers three modes — precision milling, scouring, and high-speed scouring (light milling) — switched on the touchscreen, so the fabric does not have to be moved between machines.

Can the fabric be torn or damaged in the machine?

Six pairs of crescent-shaped guide plates sit between each roller pair and interface precisely with the pressure plate and base edge, which is what prevents static-induced entanglement, tearing and perforation.

Can heavy woollens and light worsteds run on the same machine?

Yes, in parallel on the same machine. Where the mill runs mostly heavy carded fabric, the WPF-4XS-W solid wood roller configuration gives a better milling pressure profile.
