QL Micro-Pressure Uniform Steaming Technology

Product overview

The WPF-JXZN-MAX redefines the performance baseline of discontinuous decatizing. Two hardware breakthroughs work in concert — the Ø2000 Oversized Decatizing Cylinder and the QL Micro-Pressure Uniform Steaming Architecture — to eliminate at the source the two long-standing limitations of conventional discontinuous decatizing: left-centre-right shading and head-to-tail piece variation. The result: an exceptional dimensional stability, an extraordinary touch and a fully developed handle.

Suitable for the premium decatizing of worsted and woollen fabrics, silk, linen and other natural fibres, as well as polyester, acrylic and other synthetic constructions — a single platform covering both woven and knitted finishing requirements.

Applications

Worsted wool — pure wool and its blends with polyester, viscose, silk, cotton and linenWoollen wool — woven and knitted constructionsSilk and other natural fibres including linenSynthetic and blended fabrics — polyester, acrylic and multi-fibre blendsFinishing of premium apparel, home textiles and automotive interior fabrics

Common problems in dry finishing

Real questions from the mill floor — and how we answer them.

Where does end-to-end variation in a piece come from, and why does a large cylinder solve it?

The variation traces back to a cylinder too small to give the piece enough fabric travel. This machine runs a Ø2000 mm cylinder — over twice the conventional diameter — so a 500–1,000 m loading still has ample travel and dwell. Head and tail see the same conditions, and the variation is eliminated at its source.

What causes shade variation between the left, centre and right of the cloth?

Shading comes from steam reaching the width unevenly. The QL Micro-Pressure Uniform Steaming Architecture's internal geometry distributes steam evenly across the full width, and steam then acts on the fabric from both inside and outside the cylinder, so decatizing is synchronised across the width. The micro-pressure design accelerates penetration, leaving no left-centre-right shading.

Can worsted, woollen, silk and man-made fibres all run here without fibre damage?

All of them run here: worsted and woollen wool, silk, linen and other natural fibres, polyester, acrylic and multi-fibre blends, woven and knitted alike. Each construction runs its own recipe rather than one setting for everything, stored and recalled by the touchscreen/PLC control, and STT-curve control on the A-roller, B-roller and pressing roller removes inner-outer layer differences in the fabric.

The wrapper needs changing and upkeep — how much of a burden is that?

The machine looks after the wrapper itself. A dedicated wrapper drying cylinder keeps it in optimum working condition and substantially extends its service life. Twin-roller oscillating centring, driven by bidirectional pneumatic actuation, holds the wrapper on a stable path, and the servo main drive calculates wrapper tension precisely for smoother running.
